Northern Flame (2026)

Next to his mother, who was Brent Ray Fraser’s first art teacher, Bob Ross was the first famous artist Fraser idolized from the age of three, when he first began to paint. Brent would watch Bob Ross create landscapes on television after school and during sick days when his mother wasn’t watching soap operas.

A lifelong admirer of Ross’s serene landscape techniques and ability to merge painting with entertainment, Fraser began exploring in 2024 how these influences could intersect with his own signature Brush Stroke Technique, reinterpreting the spirit of his artistic hero through the lens of Art Sexualism and embodied mark making.

Both Ross and Fraser shared a deep passion for nature, wildlife, painting, and performance. This work forms part of an ongoing landscape study series reflecting Fraser’s enduring love of wilderness, vivid colour, and the challenge of venturing further into unexplored creative territory one stroke at a time.
